A Nepali laborer has died in the Everest base camp. According to the District Police Office, 55-year-old Lanima Sherpa of Gourishankar Rural Municipality-9 of Dolakha has been killed.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarika Prasad Ghimire, he was working at Sagarmatha Base Camp located in Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-4 of Sherpa District. According to the police, on March 17th at 7:30 in the evening, the Sherpa who fell ill from the lake died in Thukla on March 18th while he was being taken to the Khumjung health post by horse.
After completing the legal process of the dead body, the body of the deceased was taken to Teaching Hospital Kathmandu via Altitude Helicopter. After the post-mortem, his nephew Pemachiri Sherpa took over the body of the deceased on 19 March. The police said that a detailed investigation of the incident is underway.
