Five more members of the 'No Cable Car' group released on bail

Khagendra Fembo, the coordinator of the high-level negotiation team formed by the 'No Cable Car' group, along with Shri Prasad Limbu, five people have been released on bail. The bench of Judge Bikas Shrestha of District Court Taplejung ordered to release them on bail on Friday.

They appeared in the court on Friday, who were on the list of absconding defendants. The order came after their statements, which were presented with the application, and after the custodial debate. Among those released on bail are Fambo, Limbu, Purna Bahadur Palungwa, Roshan Kangliwa (Saroj), Muksam Limbu, informed the court clerk Manoj Baral . A case was registered against them under the title of criminal nuisance and rioting.

Cable car bottom station under construction in Kaflepati and the statement that led to the Ranke procession incident at Birendrachowk was given by 18 people who were arrested earlier.

In addition to those arrested based on their statements, nine people were made defendants . Four people are still on the list of absconding accused . According to the court, the arrest warrant against them is ongoing. The court said that 5 people who were released on Friday, including 18 who were released on bail earlier, will appear in court on March 21.

According to Srestedar Baral, although the title of the case is the same, the bail and punishment may be different depending on the role. The court has set the bail amount equally for everyone. The final decision of the case is pending. 

Last February 8, there was a clash at the cable car bottom station near Kaflepati. In the evening of February 10th, a procession was held at Birendrachowk. There was also a clash between the security personnel and the 'No Cable Car' group during the Ranke procession. The police filed a case for being involved in the same incident.
