The Armed Police Force has arrested two people from Jhapa with 1,636 kg of marijuana. The police arrested both of them along with two trucks from Buddhashanti rural municipality-4 Mechi highway with that quantity of marijuana.
On Friday, the Armed Police Force team seized kilos of marijuana from trucks numbered K 1-K 5001 and Q 1-02-002 K 0584 coming from Ilam to Jhapa. Armed Police Force Nepal no. Armed Police Superintendent of 1 Barah Bahini Bikram Humagain informed.
Among those arrested are Mahesh Rai of Shahidbhoomi Municipality-4 of Dhankuta and Ganga Bahadur Basnet of Maijogai Rural Municipality-2 of Ilam.During the police check, they found 57 sacks of marijuana being brought in the truck. 87,000 and five mobile phones were recovered from them by the police.
They have been handed over to District Police Office Jhapa for necessary action along with the truck.
