On the occasion of Tourism Year-2081 of Koshi Province, International Theater Festival has started in Itahari of Sunsari.
Organized by the Asian People's Theater Festival Society and in collaboration with Sarvanam Theatre, the festival started from Friday at the Cultural Building Theater inside the Itahari Matrix complex. Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki inaugurated the festival. 44 foreign artists and cultural artists from 20 theater organizations from 13 countries are participating in the festival. Itahari Matrix and Arambh Natya Double have done the local original composition of the
festival. The festival, which will last for three days, has various drama performances, workshops and cultural exchanges.
The organizers believe that the theater festival will contribute significantly to the promotion of tourism in Nepal and Koshi province, the expansion of international relations and the enhancement of art, culture and civilization.
