With the aim of promoting the market of cane and bamboo materials, the first National Bamboo Conference has started in Khotang from Thursday. Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri inaugurated the conference.
Mentioning the importance of bamboo, Minister Thakuri said that the necessary budget will be allocated for bamboo and rattan business in the next budget to promote bamboo products. In addition, he also said that furniture made from bamboo will be used in the Ministry of Forestry.
"In the upcoming budget, necessary budget will be allocated for bamboo and rattan business," Minister Thakuri said, "In the near future, the Ministry of Forestry and Environment will use bamboo furniture."
