In Taplejung, the prohibition order from the morning of February 11 has been lifted. The district administration office issued a notification on Tuesday and informed that the prohibition order has been lifted with effect from 11 pm. It is mentioned in the notification that the prohibition order has been removed as per the recommendation of the meeting held on February 13 of the District Security Committee.
Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma issued a prohibition order in the Kaflepati area of Phungling and Pathibhara.
There was a clash between the 'No Cable Car Group' and the police on February 8 regarding the cable car under construction in the Pathibhara area. There was also a clash in the headquarters of Fungling on this issue. During the clashes, 24 people were injured on the part of security personnel and protestors. The police have detained 17 people from the protestors side.
