The Sisne road section connecting Taplejung headquarters Fungling to Sisne Sinwa to Olangchungola will be closed during the repair.
Village chairman Rajan Limbu informed that the road, which cannot even be driven by motorbikes and is at risk of accidents at any time, will be repaired from February 6 to 10.
According to him, the guard should be broken and the road should be widened. Traffic will be closed from 9 am to 5 pm every day on Tuesday. The rural municipality has issued a public notice regarding this. Limbu says that since there is no other option, he has to work in the afternoon by letting the traffic run in the morning and evening.
In this section of the road under the Tamor Corridor, the road has to be widened by blasting. Dilkumar Limbu, who is conducting transport through this route, shares his experience that when the vehicle gets stuck in the middle of the road due to potholes and dust, it becomes difficult to get out. "After reaching the middle, the start of the car starts turning off," he said.
Those going to Paktanglung will be able to use Suketar, Garidanda road . Since this road is long and winding, the transport operator has been using the Sinwa-Sisne road. Locals say that there is no alternative way to travel on foot during construction.
