In Koshi province, a vaccination campaign has been started against Khoret disease affecting cattle. To help promote healthy milk and meat production and export of goods, the vaccination campaign against khoret has been started from Thursday.

The vaccination campaign has been started simultaneously across the province in collaboration with the veterinary hospitals and animal service centers of all the fourteen districts and the respective municipalities.

Ramnarayan Sah, Head of Veterinary Hospital and Animal Services Center Panchthar, said that the government has launched a campaign to vaccinate cows, buffaloes and buffaloes against rabies, saying that due to the decrease in the production of cattle due to rabies, there has also been a negative impact on market promotion.

According to Sah, the vaccines required for vaccination are provided to the villages and municipalities through the veterinary hospital and animal service specialist center of the respective district.

The vaccination campaign will be monitored by the Directorate of Livestock and Fisheries Development, Koshi Province and the veterinary hospitals of the respective districts. As part of the campaign, all 7 local levels of Panchthar district have started vaccinating cattle from Thursday.

About 78,000 animals will be vaccinated in Panchthar alone, according to Niroj Kumar Bhattarai, information officer of Veterinary Hospital and Animal Services Expert Center Panchthar.

According to the data of Directorate of Livestock and Fisheries Development of Koshi Province, there are 1.4 million cows, 3.74 thousand buffaloes and 7.15 million wild boars.
