The closure has affected the life of Taplejung. Nepal Police has coordinated to deliver vegetables from the village to the market for the Saturday Haat. Escorting has been done on Saturday morning for the operation of three-wheeled vehicles. Farmers were in trouble because they could not deliver the vegetables they produced to the market.

It is reported that the police team has been deployed from 2, 3, 7, 8, 5 and other wards of Fungling Municipality since 2 o'clock in the morning on Saturday. Farmers bring the agricultural produce produced throughout the week to the haat on Saturdays and sell it. Police were mobilized in these areas since morning.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Rawal informed that 32 pilgrims who had walked to Kaflepati were taken to Pathibhara to pay their vows. According to Rawal, they were taken to Kaflepati, which is 39 km from Kabeli, the border of Panchthar. In which there are also children. According to the police, the children were escorted to their destination.

Pilgrims who did not receive the notification of closure responded that they left home and walked on foot with the aim of returning to their destination. Due to the clash between 'No Cable Car Group' and the police on January 12th, Mechi Highway, Tamor Corridor and the roads entering Taplejung from Tehrathum have been closed since January 15th. The agitating group has announced further shutdown from January 20 due to neglect of their demands. They have called for a shutdown in the nine districts of Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha and Tehrathum districts of Arun East.

They have announced that they will go on a general strike in these nine districts if there is no response by the 22nd. They have demanded the release of three workers who are under police custody, stop the cable car construction work, and the return of the police stationed at Kaflepati.
