The herbal oil produced in Elam is exported abroad. The oil produced in Nityaraj Dahal's industry in Myjogmai rural municipality has started to be exported abroad.

Dahal said that oil and local herbs have been exported abroad since last year from this industry, which was established 13 years ago. He informed that the products produced here go to France in particular. 

'In our industry, oil is extracted from local herbs such as Pati, Dhupi, Mentha, Dhasingare found in the village itself. Out of that, the processed oil from Pati, Mentha and Dhupi has started to be exported abroad," Dahal said, "In the near future, preparations are being made to produce oil from Geranium, wild syapatri, rosemary, etc. Foreigners like Nepali natural products. So we are producing according to demand.'

He told himself  Being a follower of Oso, he said that only the foreigners who came here to meditate would buy and take away the manufactured goods. Later, after being informed about the importance of oil, they liked it. The enthusiasm has increased after all the products produced have started selling,' Dahal said. 

Dhoopi oil is sold at Rs 2,500 per kg, peppermint oil at Rs 6,000 per kg, mentha oil at Rs 7,000 per kg and dhasingare oil at Rs 7,000 per kg. Dahal has been cultivating various plants on 35 acres of land. He is also purchasing raw materials from local farmers.

'We are buying the products produced by the village farmers at home. Dhoopi Rs.8 per kg and Titepati Rs.4 per kg at home  "Farmers have also benefited when they went and purchased," says Dahal.     Local Keshav Dahal told  

According to Dahal, the oil produced from here is used for colds, sore throats, to massage injured areas, and patients with joint problems and backaches use it more.
