The vehicle reached Tiptala through Tamor Corridor

The operation of Nepalese vehicles in the Tiptala region of Nepal, which is connected to Tibet, an autonomous region of China, has opened the door to new possibilities. After the repair of Tamor Corridor, jeeps, tractors and other vehicles have started reaching Tiptala regularly through the unpaved road.

Easy access to Tiptala area has a positive effect on tourism promotion. According to Cheten Sherpa, the ward president of Paktanglung rural municipality-7, with the road repair, many passengers have started coming to visit Tiptala area by vehicle. The arrival of domestic tourists has increased since vehicles have started to run easily in this section, which was previously considered as a difficult journey.

Phattanglung rural municipality-6 through Lelep and 7 through Olangchungola to Tiptala, potholes were dug, humpipes were laid, and river and creek sections were repaired. The return trip from Fungling to Tiptala is now possible in three days.

The team of businessmen led by Narayan Thapa, president of Taplejung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has traveled back and forth between Fungling and Tiptala within three days. According to President Thapa, there is an increased possibility that regular business activities can be conducted in this section. Although there are problems with water and mud in some places, the overall journey is smooth.

According to Phupulhamu Shrestha, an executive member of Paktanglung Rural Municipality and a resident of Olachungola, where regular transport is being conducted to Olangchugola, it used to cost a lot to transport necessary materials, but now it is easy for vehicles to reach the village.

According to Sherpa, the head of the ward, although vehicle operation is possible only in the dry season, if a concrete bridge is constructed in the main part of the Tamor river, even in the dry season, it will be possible to move easily. Ward president Sherpa said, "It will be possible to reach Tiptala forever after the construction of bridges in Sukepani, Jongin and Phedi areas."

According to Rajan Limbu, Chairman of Paktanglung Rural Municipality, the contract process for the construction of Beilibridge in Sukepani has already started. Tiptala area can become a hub for tourism and business if motorable bridges are constructed in the areas of Jongin and Olangchungola. The meeting held between the Dingji County Government of Tibet and the security officials of Taplejung has also indicated that more opportunities can be created in this area.

After the Tibetan government expressed its willingness to blacken the road from Tiptala to Fungling, the government is ready to move forward with the proposal. According to Netra Prasad Sharma, Chief District Officer of Taplejung, Tibet has promised to pave the road if there is a proposal through government-government cooperation.

The operation of vehicles up to Tiptala has revealed the development and potential of remote areas of Taplejung. It is expected that this area will be established as a tourism and business center by road maintenance, bridge construction and international cooperation.
