21-year-old Sharmila Basnet of Thulung Dudhkoshi-2 along with her newborn baby from Thulung Dudhkoshi rural municipality-6 Mukli was rescued by Nepalese army helicopter this morning.

Chief District Officer Anoj Kumar Ghimire said that the baby was born at Thulung Dudhkoshi Hospital on Tuesday but was taken to Kathmandu for treatment under the President's Women Rescue Program due to a complicated health condition.

He said that he had just received the information that the mother and child were admitted to the maternity hospital in Thapathali.
