The cultural tourism and agriculture fair organized on the occasion of 'Mundum Trail Tour Year 2025' has concluded.

On the occasion of Kirat Yele Dong (Kirat Samvat) 5085, the fair began in Chakhewa on Tuesday and ended on Saturday. The fair was inaugurated by Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey and former Minister Sudan Kirati. The visit was organized in Chakhewa at the beginning of the year by Temkemaiung Rural Municipality. Various cultural programs and agricultural products were displayed in the fair.  Under the

fair, there was an opening ceremony on Tuesday, a performance by artist Jwala Rai on Wednesday with a poetry competition, a performance by artist Bhishan Mukarung on Thursday with a Sakela Silly competition, a performance by comedian Manoj Gajurel on Friday with a Dhanushwan (archery) competition and a performance by Shiv Pariyar on Saturday.   

Mundum trail, which was started 8 years ago, covering various districts including Khotang, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumb, where the Kirat community is concentrated, has now been divided into three different sections from Kosi Tappu of Saptakosi to Sagarmatha (Chomalungma) and expanded as Greater Mundum Trail, according to Rai. Rai said that those who want to visit can start from Kosi Tappu from various places. Rai says that you can visit the Mundum Trail in a package of five to 15 days. 

Mundum trail is virgin and can be easily traveled by people from 10 to 80 years old, so it is a choice for tourists, Rai said. Rai said that various programs related to tourism are organized according to the season during the visit year. According to him, in the year of visit, Gurans and horse riding and film shooting festival in Bhojpur's Temkemaiung Rural Municipality in Baisakh, Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality in Khotang Red Panda and Thar Festival in Baisakh and National Bamboo Conference on February 15, 16 and 17, Honey Hunting Festival in Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality and Gotheste Festival in Sakela Rural Municipality. - Ubhauli Sakela and other cultural festivals Gurney Rai narrated.
