The number of pilgrims reaching the Pathibhara temple has been noted even in the colder month of Pus. According to Pathibhara Area Development Committee, 29 lakh 25 thousand rupees was collected when 6 thousand 427 pilgrims reached the temple.
According to Prajin Hangwang, Executive Director of Regional Development Committee, this number is higher than last year.
According to the committee, only around 4,500 pilgrims came last year. In the past, there are fewer pilgrims visiting the Pathibhara temple at an altitude of 3,794 meters during the cold season. During this time, the temperature here is minus.
"Until eight/ten years ago, pilgrims used to come to a standstill in the months of Pus and Magh," said Dilli Acharya, priest of Pathibhara, "In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of pilgrims who come to play in the snow and have a glimpse of Mother."
The Pathibhara Area Development Committee claims that up to 3 lakh pilgrims come to Pathibhara annually and 40 million rupees are collected.
