The investment conference to be organized by the Koshi state government will be held on May 18-19. According to the predetermined time, the conference was fixed for January 11-13. But because the necessary preparations were not completed, the conference had to be postponed, according to Revathiraman Bhandari, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of the province.
According to him, the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday made this decision. He said that more time is needed for the procurement process of projects, amendment of laws and procurement process. Minister Bhandari also informed that the federal government's support is needed for some laws and policy amendments.
The state government is preparing for the conference with the goal of bringing in an investment of about 1 billion rupees. This conference is going to be held through the policy and program and budget of the current financial year. Various committees and secretariat have been formed for the conference.
Minister Bhandari has now expressed his belief that the conference will be completed grandly as there is enough time and the preparation phase has been completed to some extent.
