After the extreme cold in the Himalayan district of Solukhumbu, the district administration office has made arrangements for heating fire in Chokchok.
Chief District Officer Anoj Kumar Ghimire said that as the temperature in the headquarter Salleri dropped to minus zero, fires were started in various squares of Ward No. 4 Phaplu and Ward No. 5 Salleri from Monday morning to protect the people from the cold. Earlier, according to the decision of the District Disaster Management Committee, Prajia Ghimire said that the firewood was managed and the people were put on fire.
'It is the state's responsibility to protect the people from the cold,' Prajia Ghimire said, 'This campaign is symbolic and awareness-raising, we light fires in the morning and evening to give warmth to the citizens in the morning and evening.' DSP Dwarika Prasad Ghimire, Chief of District Police Office Solukhumbu informed that the fire will be lit in the square.
