Sunsari police have arrested a person with a Chinese pistol and bullets. The police arrested Shamsher Alam, a local, with a Chinese pistol and two rounds of bullets in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-2 Mansuri Chowk of Sunsari.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Prasad Timalsina, Spokesperson of District Police Office Sunsari, Alam was arrested on Friday night based on a special information. Timalsina informed that 38-year-old Alam was arrested during a raid based on a tip-off that he was hiding illegal weapons in the house of local Khurshid Ansari.

Ansari, the owner of the house, is absconding and the police are looking for him. According to the police, investigation is being carried out against the arrested Alam for the offense related to handguns and treasure of the Civil Code-2074.
