A teacher and a student died on Saturday afternoon after falling into the gorge of the Khorunga river in Menchhyayem Rural Municipality of Tehrathum while making ticktaks.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Chinimaya Tamang said that Rabina Rajvanshi, who works as a nurse teacher in the local Goukhuri High School, and 12-year-old Sushmita Bhattarai, who is studying in class 7, died on the spot.
