Paktanglung rural municipality has allocated up to one and a half lakh rupees per school for teaching coaching to students from classes 6 to 10.

Village Chairman Rajan Limbu informed that it has been decided to give Rs 150,000 to secondary schools and Rs 1 lakh for teaching English, mathematics and science subjects.

It has also been decided to centralize the 8th class exam and to conduct the 5th class exam together with the toll schools. Here, the class 8 exam and results have been strict since last year. The municipality has said that the concept of coaching class has been introduced because the students are weak in three subjects.

Likewise, the rural municipality has decided to provide salaries to the teachers only quarterly. In the meeting of the teachers from all over the municipality called by the village municipality on Tuesday, the chairman of the rural municipality Limbu said that the number of employees in the rural municipality is low and due to the geographic difficulties, it will be easier to provide the salaries to the teachers quarterly instead of monthly.

President Limbu says that since it takes five days for teachers from Ghunsa, Olangchungola to come and go from the municipality, the children's education will also be affected. There are 40 schools in the municipality. The government had already instructed municipalities across the country to pay monthly salaries to teachers.

Limbu said that the meeting also decided to fine 1500 rupees along with a written explanation to the principals and teachers who are absent from the meetings or gatherings called by the rural municipality. Only 32 people attended the meeting called on Tuesday.
