The construction work of Langkhuwa Khola small hydropower project of 5 megawatt capacity, which is being constructed by Sabhapokhari Hydropower Limited, has been completed. The electricity generated by the project constructed in Sabhapokhari rural municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha is connected to the national transmission line through Tumlingtar Substation through 33 KV transmission line.

 

After the completion of the construction of the project which started in January 2077, the testing and commissioning of the project has also been completed at Rohrbar of Nepal Electricity Authority.

Managing Director Sriram Devkota said that by providing free electricity for 15 days, commercial production will be started from the project from next month. In the project, 3 thousand 100 meter long headrace pipe and 600 meter long penstock pipe have been installed and the water of Lankhukhola has been pumped to the power house near the local Bahrbise market.

The project, which has been invested by the National Commercial Bank, has been completed at a cost of 1 billion 100 million. So far, towards the completion of the project quickly  Devkota said that due to the attention, now the company has proceeded with the necessary process for issuing shares (IPO) to the general public.
