District Police Office Morang has arrested six people who cheated with fake gold and made it public on Monday. In a press conference held at the district police office, six people who cheated 10 different people from Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa by showing fake gold were arrested and made public.
52-year-old Ashok Tamang of Topgachi Rural Municipality-1 of Jhapa, 54-year-old Pravin Tamang of Arjundhara Municipality-11, 66-year-old Ram Bahadur Kandangwa of Haldibari Municipality-3 Baghdanda, 59-year-old Dhakal Bahadur Thing of Kankai Municipality-9, 51-year-old Narayan of Naxalbari, Darjeeling District, West Bengal, India Gurung, 34-year-old Sanjay Sharma of the same place was arrested and made public by the Chief Constable of the District Police Office Superintendent Narayan Prasad Chimaria informed.
According to him, 2 lakh 72 thousand 430 rupees in cash, 2 thousand 630 Indian rupees, eight pieces of biscuits that look like gold, four pieces of different yellow metal sesame seeds and other gold jewelery have been recovered from them.
Superintendent of Police Chimaria said that the accused were arrested from different places of Itahari in Sunsari with the help of provincial investigation group of provincial police office, Morang and Sunsari police.
