District Police Office Morang has arrested 6 people, including two Indians, of the gang who cheated on fake gold jewellery. 6 members of the gang of calling yellow metal as gold have been arrested.

According to the police, 52-year-old Ashok Tamang of Bansbari, Kamal Rural Municipality of Jhapa, 59-year-old Dhakal Bahadur Thing of Kankai Municipality Ward No. 9 Ghailadubba Bazar of Jhapa, 54-year-old Pravin Tamang of Arjundhara Municipality Ward No-11, 66-year-old Ram Bahadur Kandangwa of Haldiwari Municipality Ward No-3 Baghdanda. Similarly, India Bengal 51-year-old Narayan Gurung of Naxalbari is 34-year-old Sanjay Sharma of Naxalbari Dayaramjot.
The police recovered 4 pieces of gold-looking yellow metal tilhari from the accused, Looks like necklace 2 mangalsutras, 8 pieces of teal that looks like gold, ear rings, beruva rings, Sikri earrings with lockets, bracelets and ear rings 1/1 each. Likewise 10 rings, 4 silver bracelets, 1 silver bracelet, 1 jimala, 1 sikri, 1 black pote have been seized. Also, 2 lakh 72 thousand 430 rupees and 2 jars of 630 rupees have been recovered.
The accused are being investigated by the Morang District Court for the crime of fraud under Chapter 21, Section 249 of the Criminal Code. According to the police, the accused can be imprisoned for up to 7 years and fined up to 70 thousand rupees according to 249 of 2 (c) of the Criminal Code.
