It is located in Kanchajanangha conservation area. Tenjing says that even though the conservation program has ended, the red panda is still in the Olangchungola area for tourists to see. He said that since there is no risk from people, people come close to them while walking.
Redpanda Network has been conducting programs related to conservation in Fungling municipality and other areas. Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam have been listed as districts with good red panda habitat.
Although it is estimated that there are around 300 in three districts, the conservationists say that they are not sure that there is this number.
