The Koshi state government has announced a budget of 35 billion 27 billion 93 million for the next financial year 2081/082.
Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Ram Bahadur Magar on Saturday announced a budget that is about one billion less than the previous budget. In the
budget, priority has been given to agriculture, industry, service sector, education, health, physical infrastructure, and tourism promotion.
Last year also, the UML-led government had announced the budget . Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki was sitting on the Chief Minister's chair. Due to the minority government at that time, he announced a budget of 36 billion 24 million 35 million rupees through an ordinance.
After it was determined that the policy and program and the budget would not be passed, the budget was brought through the ordinance.
