Seven people from Salyan who were injured in an autorickshaw accident have been referred to Nepalgunj by the Salyan District Hospital. Ten people were injured in an auto accident that occurred in Salyan on Monday afternoon.
Ten people were injured when an auto rickshaw (Ra1Ha2195) coming from Srinagar, Sharada Municipality-1, Salyan, towards Khalanga met with an accident near the quarters of the Water Supply and Energy Development Office in Sharada Municipality-2, Khalanga. All the injured were immediately taken to the District Hospital, Salyan for treatment.
Two have returned home after treatment, while one is undergoing treatment at the district hospital and seven have been referred to Nepalgunj, said Dr. Hem Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Salyan.
There were 11 people on board the auto, which can accommodate only four people including the driver. Police have stated that the auto went out of control and crashed due to carrying more passengers than its capacity. The autorickshaw fell 500 meters off the road. The auto driver, Arjun Dangi, has been taken into custody by the police.
