Heavy snowfall is occurring in the mountainous districts of Karnali Province. Heavy snowfall has been occurring in Mugu, Humla and Dolpa districts since Tuesday night. According to Humla Chief District Officer Tek Kumar Regmi, almost all local levels of Humla have received snowfall.

Dolpa Chief District Officer Junu Hamal said that there is continuous snowfall in She-Phoksundo, Dolpobuddha, and Charkatangso rural municipalities of Upper Dolpa. Due to the snowfall, normal life in the Himalayan district has been affected by the cold and the Jumla road section has been closed, he said.

There are four local levels in Mugu, and the District Administration Office has informed that snow is falling in all four local levels. It has been raining continuously in Khatyad rural municipality since last night. Most of the mountainous upper regions of Mugu, including Khamale, Jiuka, Gamtha, Seri, are also experiencing snowfall. Places where there is no snowfall are experiencing continuous rain.
