Kalikot, which has only one constituency, has 127 polling stations with a total of 104 polling stations.

In Kalikot, which is known as a 'highly sensitive' district in terms of security in the election, 74 out of 104 polling stations are very sensitive, said Pradya Gorkan Raj Suyal. According to him, 29 polling stations are sensitive, while only the Manmisathath Jail and Bal Mandir polling stations in the district headquarters have been kept normal.

District Police Chief DSP Him Bahadur Khatri said that the security strategy has been decided by classifying them into very sensitive, sensitive and normal based on indicators such as violence in past elections, geographical remoteness, transportation inconvenience, communication access.

A total of 2,196 security personnel, including 509 Nepal Police, 400 Army, 185 Armed Police, and 1,102 Election Police, will be mobilized in the district.

Although the Nepal Police has 509 posts in Kalikot, there are currently only 348 in the district. Others are working in various districts. The District Security Committee has stated that additional security personnel may be called from Jumla and Surkhet as needed, considering the security sensitivity of the district. A plan has been made to mobilize 14 policemen, armed forces, army and election police at the most sensitive polling stations.

In anticipation of snowfall during the Falgun 21 elections, 14 polling stations across the district have also been placed on the most sensitive list. Voting stations here, including Mahadev Secondary School in Foikot, Malika Secondary School in Bajedichaur, Durga Secondary School in Ratada, Janata Secondary School in Rupsa, Dipendra Secondary School, and Shivalay Secondary School in Chilkhaya, have been considered most sensitive due to snowfall. Ten candidates, including two independents, are in the election race in Kalikot.
