For the upcoming election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21, the UML has intensified the recommendation of direct candidates in various districts of Karnali. Most of them are old faces.

UML has again recommended Dhruv Kumar Shahi as a candidate in Surkhet Constituency No. 1. As per the decision of the full meeting of the Constituency Coordination Committee, Shahi's single name has been sent to the center.

With Shahi's single recommendation, it is certain that he will compete with Congress Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka for the third time. Khadka has also been recommended by Congress alone. Shahi was defeated by Khadka in the last House of Representatives election-2079, while Shahi defeated Khadka in the 2074 BS election.

In Surkhet Constituency No. 2, UML has recommended the name of District President Kulmani Devkota. The party meeting held on Saturday unanimously made him the candidate. Congress's Hridayram Thani was elected to the House of Representatives from this constituency in the last House of Representatives election. Congress has recommended the names of 6 people including Thani.

District Chairman Nandaram Devkota has been recommended as a single candidate in Rukum West. He was also a candidate in the 2079 BS House of Representatives election. At that time, he was defeated by Janardan Sharma of the former Maoist. District Chairman Shantilal Mahat has also been recommended as a single candidate in Jumla. Where Gyanendra Shahi of the RPP was elected in the previous election. Similarly, Karnali Province Committee Chairman Gulab Jung Shah has been recommended as a single candidate in Salyan. He won the Provincial Assembly in 2074 BS and was defeated by Congress candidate Suresh Adhikari in the 2079 BS election.

Four names, including central member Niraj Acharya, have been recommended in Jajarkot. Along with Acharya, Dambar Bahadur Singh, Kaushila Wali Khatri, Ganesh Thapa and Narayan Gharti have been recommended as candidates. UML has recommended the names of young leaders Bishnu Rijal and Laxmi Prasad Pokharel in Dailekh constituency number 2. An internal vote was held in Dailekh during the recommendation of candidates. In which Rijal received 67 votes while Pokharel got 66 votes.
