Fire in Humla's Sarkegad: Two injured, five houses damaged

Two people have been injured in a fire in Rip village of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-2. Local Vijay Phadera informed that five houses have been damaged in the fire.

A fire broke out suddenly in Laiba Phadera's house last night. Laiba Phadera and Bambu Phadera were injured in the fire. Both the injured were brought to the District Hospital Simkot by ambulance for treatment that night.

The fire damaged the houses of locals Laiba Phadera, Jayaram Phadera, Kranti Phadera, Ramesh Mahatara and Mohan Mahatara. The damage could not be estimated,  said local Vijay Phadera, who was deployed to extinguish the fire. He informed that the fire was extinguished on the initiative of the locals.

As soon as the information about the fire was received, security personnel were mobilized from the Sarkegad Police Station, said Police Inspector Bishnu Shrestha of the District Police Office. The injured are undergoing treatment, said District Health Office Chief Dr. Umakanta Tiwari.
