Out of the 18,245 metric tons produced, 5,591 metric tons of apples were exported outside the district. According to the data of the Agriculture Office, only 30 percent of the total production was exported outside the district.

Last year, the area occupied by 4,377 hectares has increased to 4,497 hectares this year. Last year, apples planted in 2,399 hectares yielded fruit, while this year, apples planted in 2,165 hectares yielded fruit. However, hail and unseasonal rain have reduced apple production this time compared to last year.
According to Ram Bhakta Adhikari, Chief of the District Agricultural Development Office, Jumla, Jumli apples are being sold at prices ranging from Rs 65.50 to Rs 70. Some municipalities have received a price of Rs 70 in the orchard. Italian variety Fuji apples are sold at a price of more than Rs 175 in the orchard.
According to him, 4,415 metric tons of apples have been consumed within the district. This is 25 percent of the total production. He said that 15 percent of apples have been exported from the Jumla Bus Park and airport in the form of Naso and Koseli.
2,648 metric tons of apples have been consumed in apple juice, juice, jam, cider, brandy and mud. This time, some apple farmers themselves took them to the market, while some traders bought them from the orchard.
Recently, with the increase in temperature, the infection of pests in apples has increased. Sometimes there is a lot of rain and sometimes there is a drought, so apple production has declined every year.
Local varieties include Red Delicious, Royal Delicious, Golden, Richa Red, Jonathan, Spore and other varieties. High-density apples include Gala and Fuji varieties.
There is currently 1,765 metric tons of apple stock in the storage house. The data shows that 10 percent of apples are destroyed during harvesting and transportation after production. 19,150 households have established apple orchards in Jumla. The Nagam police post on the Karnali Highway was requested to keep a record of apples.
When examining the data from eight local levels and the records of apples sent from the bus park and the airport, it is found that less apples were exported this year than last year.
