Police have arrested a youth in Salyan on charges of injuring his neighbor with an axe. The arrested person is 19-year-old Patrus Darlami, a resident of Seradanda, Kumakh Rural Municipality-6, in the district.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hem Bahadur KC, Chief of Police at the District Police Office, Salyan, Darlami had attacked 18-year-old Dammar Bik with an axe. KC said that Darlami was arrested near his house and the axe was recovered.
Bik, who was injured in the axe attack, is being treated at the Nursing Hospital in Nepalgunj. Police Chief KC said that the arrested Darlami has been kept in the custody of the District Police Office, Salyan, and the incident is being investigated.
