A young man has died after being electrocuted in Lashi Bazaar, Patarasi Rural Municipality-5, Jumla.

Jumla DSP Rabinbabu Regmi said that 31-year-old Arjun Mahatara, who was a resident of Acharyabarada, Chandannath Municipality-1 and currently operating a hotel in Lashi Bazaar, died of electrocution. According to him, Mahatara was electrocuted while installing a CCTV camera at his own house at around 10:30 pm on Sunday night. 

His relative Ganesh Budha, who was seriously injured due to electrocution, took him to the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences for treatment. The doctors at the institute declared Mahatara dead during treatment. Police said that further investigation into the incident is underway. The deceased Mahatara has also acted in some music videos.
