According to the police, 18-year-old Meenakumari and 15-year-old Geethakumari, daughters of Dhan Bahadur Singh of Kushe Rural Municipality-7 Samakot Jajarkot, who went swimming in the local Samakot river on Friday afternoon, died.
District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Kumar Sharma said that both the sisters, who were swept away while swimming, were found dead about 200 meters below the same river. The bodies of both sisters have been brought home.
He said that an autopsy will be conducted on Saturday.
