A young man from the minority Routey community, who was living a nomadic life, has died. The deceased is 23-year-old Govind Shahi.
Lal Bahadur Khatri, a teacher working in the route project, who was living in Lekbensi Municipality-10 of Surkhet, died on Monday.
He said that he died due to excessive alcohol consumption. He said, 'Since receiving the allowance last month, members of the Raute community have been consuming alcohol. Govinda was also constantly consuming alcohol. He died because of alcohol.'
He is the son of Dil Bahadur, the chief of Sovanshi route.
With his death, the population of Raute has reached 136.
