Discussions have started for the improvement of education in Karnali province. Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has started discussions on the project of Education and Human Resource Development Center Sanothimi Bhaktapur.

The state level orientation program which started from Tuesday in Birendra Nagar will be conducted for 5 days . In the discussion program inaugurated by Chudamani Paudel, Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the heads and representatives of all 79 local levels of Karnali education branches, heads of education units, heads and representatives of education monitoring bodies in the province and heads and representatives of various non-governmental sectors working on education are participating . In the

program, various policies, rules, laws, guidelines and standards related to education and implementation of the annual program will be discussed with representatives of all three levels of education and development partner organizations.

Deputy Secretary of Development Center Nilakantha Dhakal informed that stakeholders of education have gathered together to improve the education sector. He said that through the program organized with the aim of harmonizing the implementation of programs in the education sector, the problems and challenges of education in this sector will be identified and worked for solutions.  The program will also help to harmonize

information and statistics. He said, "This program has been started from Karnali, which has been started on the issues of problems, challenges, curiosity, the state of implementation of the program and so on." The program will be held in all 7 provinces. It is expected that the government will be able to work in this field after the preparation of the plan for next year and this program. Deepa Hamal, director of the Directorate of Education, Surkhet, said that the program will help to improve education. She said that the good work of promoting coordination has begun when there is a lack of coordination in the education of the three levels of government. She said that ``improving classroom education is the next need''. According to her, a lot has been spent on the construction of infrastructure in education in Karnali, but the results are weak. He says that now attention should be paid to improving the results.

Education Secretary Paudel said that the government is taking various actions for the improvement of education and requested the local level to proceed accordingly as schools will be merged intensively in this financial year. He informed that the government will adjust the schools with less number of students, reduce the level and carry out the job matching for having more students. 

21,000 teachers are more at the basic level and fewer at the secondary level and lower secondary level, so they are ready for transformation . As the government sent the education budget to the local level, it gave instructions for 100% implementation based on the needs. He emphasized that while spending the budget, there should be returns following financial discipline. He also asked not to build unnecessary infrastructure.
