When 23 trucks carrying 184 metric tons of apples worth more than 130 million were stopped on the road for four days, there was concern about the apples rotting .

Head of Road Division Jumla, Dipendra Chaudhary said that the road has been put into operation by mobilizing all the manpower of the road with the help of Calikot Police Administration and Nepali Army. According to him, despite every possible effort, the road could not be opened soon due to adverse weather conditions, geographical difficulties and lack of resources.
Traders are happy after the cart of apples stranded on the road reaches its destination. Farmers and traders have been demanding a long-term solution and concession in transportation as there is a problem of highway blocking every year during apple season.
Since the rains are still continuing, there is a risk of landslides on the Karnali highway and the road division Jumla has requested to travel only for urgent work.
