The police have detained 9 people on charges of commotion and fighting in Manm Bazar during the Lakhe Jatra of Krishna Janmashtami last night.
According to the police, the youth between the age group of 16 to 24 years has been detained by the police and kept in the district police office on the charge of fighting in the market from Saturday evening to 1 am. 'Those who fight in the market and beat each other have been arrested,' Kalikot police chief Tek Bahadur Rawat said. He said that during fairs and festivals, there are more commotions and fights, so the police have taken vigilance.
