Lok Bahadur Shahi, Ward President of Surkhet Birendranagar Municipality-5 has passed away. He died while returning to Surkhet by ambulance after being treated at Veer Hospital Kathmandu.

Acting President Vasu Acharya informed that Shahi died when he reached Harrei in Bheriganga Municipality on Tuesday.

He was suffering from lung cancer and pneumonia for a year. 

Shahi was elected as the ward president from UML in the local elections held in 2079.
