In the discussion with them, Chief Minister Kandel said, 'The committee's recommendation report is currently being studied. Its good aspects should be gradually implemented.'
He says that the government is aware of the fact that due to administrative restructuring, the moral development of the currently employed employees will not be hindered. Chief Minister Kandel also suggested that the employees of the province should not be afraid of the report submitted to the provincial government. He informed that the government will discuss the report submitted by the committee to the government so that the good and positive aspects of the report are gradually implemented. According to Chief Minister Kandel, since the structures have to be restructured sooner or later in view of the demands and needs of the time, everyone's support is needed in that direction.
rather than copying others, he emphasized on the need to develop and restructure their structures based on the reality and needs of their own province. He said, 'At some point, in the name of managing people, the ministry's signboards were hung on the windows to create distortions. It raised the question of the legitimacy of the overall provincial structure.
Chief Minister Kandel also informed that extensive discussions will be held with the stakeholders while restructuring the structure of the province to make it agile, sound and efficient.
Chief Minister Kandel formed a 'High Level Organization and Management Survey Committee' under the coordination of former secretary Laxman Aryal last May. For this, the cabinet meeting of the provincial government has also formed a separate committee under the leadership of the secretary to implement the report submitted by the high-level committee.
The high-level committee has concluded that the current number of ministries will be reduced. The committee suggested that only 6 should be maintained in Karnali, which has 8 ministries.
Similarly, a detailed analysis of the provincial government's workload, financial situation and effectiveness of service delivery has emphasized to discourage unnecessary political and administrative appointments. The committee also suggested reducing the offices of the province located in the district and some directorates of the province. With the publication of the report submitted by the
committee, some leaders of Karnali have been criticizing it.
