Around 53 houses have been damaged by the landslide after last night's incessant rain in Kaike Rural Municipality of Dolpa Himalayan District. Ruk Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Dolpa informed that in Riba village under Rural Municipality-4, about 53 houses were completely, partially and generally damaged.
According to DSP Khadka, four houses have been completely damaged and four houses of Putha Basic School have been completely damaged. According to the police, around 2 million rupees worth of damage was caused to school computers, CCTV, lunches, building structures etc. due to the flood.
It is mentioned in the police bond that the flood that occurred on Thursday midnight has caused a loss of around 18.4 million rupees. According to the police, eight houses suffered partial damage and the remaining houses suffered moderate damage.
It is said that there has been no loss of human wealth and livestock. The police said that the flood which came suddenly after the rains has also affected the crops planted in the fields.
