The Rapti highway has been blocked since 10 pm last night due to landslides. Due to incessant rain, the highway was blocked after a landslide occurred in Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 Chorkhola.

Even the alternate route from Kapurkot has become impassable due to the rain and the passengers have been stranded. Some nearby passengers are forced to walk around.

Landslides occurred due to continuous rains and although the dozers and excavators of the related agencies worked to remove the landslides, stones were falling from the top, according to Resham Bahadur Khatri, Police Inspector of District Police Office Salyan.  According to him The work of removing the landslide is going on since this morning.
