Eight houses have been destroyed due to fire in Aul Basti of Unapani located in Sarkegad rural municipality-3 of Humla. It is reported that the fire that started last night from the shed of the house of local resident Birkh Rawat could not be brought under control till this morning.
Eight houses were completely destroyed by the fire Local resident Dhan Bahadur Rawat informed. 'There is no consensus as to what caused the fire. "Initially, the family of rich Virkh Rawat of Goth, where the fire took place, used to live in the settlement of Lekh," he said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Humla Shankar Pokharel informed that the team led by Police Inspector Suvin Shah of Sarkegad Police Station reached the spot at night and is now working to bring the fire under control.
It is said that the houses of Vijan Phadera, Dhan Bahadur Rawat, Janak Rawat, Virkh Rawat, Pale Phadera, Lalkaura Phadera, Dudhashila Phadera, Batulli Phadera were destroyed by fire. Dhan Bahadur, the victim, said that due to the fire, the cash in the house along with food, dishes, liu feruwa, citizenship, red parts of the house, and other documents were destroyed.
There was no human loss from the fire. The police said that the details of the damage will come only after all the fires are under control.
