The local level of Dolpa has started preparations for disaster management. According to District Administration Office Dolpa, it is estimated that around 2,600 citizens will be affected by disasters in the district this year alone.
The local level has started preparing for disaster management, relief, rescue and relocation to a safe place. Chairman of Jagdulla Rural Municipality, Narsingh Rokaye, said that the disaster management fund has been set up and the rescue and relief materials have been purchased.

Like Tripurasundari and Jagdulla Rural Municipality, other municipalities of Dolpa have also said that they have prepared for disaster management. Mudkechula Rural Municipality in Lower Dolpa has completed preparations for disaster management. President Datta Bahadur Shahi said that a safe place has been arranged for rescue and keeping as soon as disaster occurs within the rural municipality. He said, 'Only normal types of risks can be handled with the resources of the municipality, in case of major risks, the state should help.'

Angat Rana, chairman of Kaike rural municipality, said that the rural municipality is ready to carry out immediate relief and rescue operations by minimizing the occurrence of disasters within the rural municipality. Thooliveri municipality of the district has also said that it has prepared to deal with the disaster events that may occur this year. Mayor Suvarnakumar Budha said that the municipality has completed all kinds of preparations to deal with disasters that may occur during drought.
According to Ruk Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dolpa, 141 disaster incidents have occurred in Dolpa in the last four years. In which 13 people lost their lives and 12 people were injured.
