Chhatreswari rural municipality has distributed 39 mini tellers to the farmers with 50% subsidy. With the aim of promoting modern technology in agriculture and reducing labor costs, the municipality has distributed mini tellers to commercial farmers affiliated to groups and cooperatives.

Recently, since the fields have become barren when they have stopped raising cows, the mini teller provided by the municipality with a 50% subsidy will be a great relief to the farmers to make it easy for them to plow their fields and vegetables.

Chhatreswari rural municipality chairman Oz Bahadur Budhathoki said that the municipality has distributed mini tellers worth 1.9 million 46 thousand to the farmers. He informed that out of 19 lakh 46 thousand 50 percent subsidy, the municipality has paid 9 lakh 73 thousand and farmers and cooperatives have also paid the same amount.

'Recently, farmers have stopped keeping oxen for plowing fields due to various problems. Because of this, the cultivated lands have become barren. Which has an impact on food production. The municipality has distributed mini tellers to the farmers so that the land should not be kept barren and the farmers are self-sufficient in production," he said.

When the labor force is decreasing, according to the demand of the farmers, the municipality  Deepak Pun, an agricultural technician of the municipality, said that mini tellers were distributed with a 50 percent donation. He informed that the price of a mini teller distributed by the rural municipality was 49 thousand 911 rupees and the farmers paid 50 percent.

It takes more than two hours for an ox to plow a field, he says, because it can be done in one hour when a machine plows, it will be a lot of relief for the farmers and when the time is saved, the farmers can use the saved time for other work. He said that every year the municipality has been distributing various agricultural implements to the farmers to increase the agricultural production and ease the farming.
