One person was killed and another was injured when a motorcycle and a car collided in Salyan on Thursday night.
Navin Rana, aged 21, of Bangad Kupinde Municipality-5, who was riding the motorcycle, died when an auto numbered 1H 9930 and a motorcycle numbered 10P 8383 coming from the opposite direction collided near Amra from Bangad Kupinde Municipality-1 Sallibazar in Sallibazar.
According to Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, motorcycle driver Savin Rana, aged 21, resident of Bangad Kupinde Municipality-5, was severely injured.
Police Inspector Basnet informed that the two who were seriously injured when an auto and a motorcycle collided with each other were taken to Nepalgunj after general treatment at the local medical center and Naveen Rana died at the Bheri Hospital. According to him, the injured Savin Rana is being treated at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Nepalganj. He informed that the police team deployed from the area police office Salyan has detained the auto driver Dhakveer Kami aged 28 from Gurwakot Municipality-3 Surkhet. He says that the cause of the accident has not been revealed.
