Handover of medical equipment worth three crores to Chedagad city hospital

The Kumari Foundation of Kathmandu has handed over medical equipment worth more than 30 million to the City Hospital of Chedagad Municipality of Jajarkot. Rajiv Bikram Shah, the president of the foundation, who is the minister of economic affairs and planning of Karnali province, handed over the equipment to the president of the municipality, Ratna Bahadur Khadka.

With the help of Rotary Club of Kathmandu and Rotary Club of Mumbai Cup Parade, Kumari Foundation has provided equipment to the municipality. "The minister has fulfilled a small dream of providing access to health services to the remote residents," says Minister Shah, "I came up with the idea of ​​running the hospital after seeing the painful situation in which citizens lost their lives prematurely due to the lack of medicine and essential equipment at the health post." 

A 15-bed hospital has been built with the investment of Minister Shah. The foundation has provided necessary surgical health materials to the city hospital in dental, eye, gyno, pediatric department, general ward, ENT ward. 

Similarly, the foundation has also provided the important equipment needed for the laboratory to the municipality, said Hem Kumar Dhakal, the chief administrative officer.
