Cultivation of chaite rice has been expanded in Kalimati Rural Municipality and Kumakh Rural Municipality. Agricultural Development Office Salyan, Prime Minister's Agriculture Modernization Project and related local levels in cooperation with Kalimati Rural Municipality 5, Jumkhola, Damdwali, Baluwa and Marm Khola in Rage Chaur of Kumakh Rural Municipality have expanded Chaite paddy.

Until two years ago, the local farmers of the two municipalities were planting Chetai paddy in only 25/30 plantations, but now they have planted 100 plantations in Kalimati and 100 plantations in Kumakh Rural Municipality. 

Kalimati Rural Municipality 5 After the Agricultural Development Office and Kalimati Rural Municipality built irrigation canals in Baluwa, Jumkhola, Damdwali, local chait became excited about paddy cultivation when irrigation became easy. In Kumakh Rural Municipality, the Prime Minister's Modernization Agricultural Project Salyan was tested two years ago and local farmers became excited about paddy cultivation.

After planting two crops of rice, corn and winter wheat, farmers have become very comfortable in earning a living. 

In Kalimati, last year Chait 5 varieties of rice failed to test, local varieties of CH. Mahesh Acharya, Head of Agricultural Development & nbsp; Office Salyan, said that 45 varieties of rice have been planted and now they are not only flourishing well, but Chaite rice has started blooming. He informed that the construction of irrigation canals is being done in places to expand Chaite paddy cultivation to more than 100 plantations in different places of Kalimati. 

Keshavraj Basnet, the head of the Prime Minister's Modernization of Agriculture Project Salyan, said that two years ago, two years ago, after successful testing of 5 types of tete rice in the fields located on the banks of Marmakhola in Rage Chaur of Kumakh rural municipality, local farmers are now planting tete rice on 100 plants of land. He informed that the project to plant Chaite paddy in 100 more plantations has also been tested in Triveni and Chhatreswari Rural Municipality. 

After the successful trial of Chaite rice, the farmers are happy that they can plant three crops in the two-crop field. Dev Bahadur Thapa, a farmer of Jumkhola, said that technical support is needed for further expansion of chaite paddy. He informed that after being able to plant two crops of paddy, he was able to eat all year round and sell the surplus.
