National Nature Conservation Fund (NTNC) has established a new office within the headquarters premises of Rara National Park.  Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri inaugurated the fund's office at Rara on Monday.

Naresh Subedi, member secretary of the fund, informed that the Rara conservation program office of the Hutu fund, which is the central office of the park, was inaugurated. Member Secretary Subedi said that the office will work on conservation and study research on the effects of climate change in the Himalayan region, Himalayan tourism and biological diversity in the Rara region.  Forest Minister Shahi, who is also the chairman of the

fund, expressed his belief that Mugu residents will work effectively in areas such as biological diversity and climate change from the office established in Rara.  This is the first office of the fund in Karnali province. The new office aims to strengthen biodiversity conservation, community collaboration, and tourism promotion in Karnali Province.

Field Office of NTNC in Rara National Park The Bardia conservation program under NTNC is currently coordinating the initial activities of the field office. According to NTNC, this initiative is a strategic step to take conservation and sustainable development to a new height in a remote but biologically rich area of ​​Nepal. 

Along with this, the fund has expanded its offices in all provinces of Nepal except Madhesh province. Govinda Prasad Pokharel, conservation officer of the fund, informed that the fund has opened offices in Koshi, Chitwan, Bardia and Shuklaphanta targeting the Terai region. 

Officer Pokharel said that currently the fund is managing Gaurishankar Conservation Area, Annapurna Conservation Area and Manaslu Conservation Area. Similarly, the fund has been managing Sadar Zoo in Jawalakhel.
