The X-ray machine purchased four years ago by the Tripurasundari Municipality of Dolpa has not yet been put into use. The machine, which was purchased to be used in Tripurakot health post in Chait 2077, has not yet been put into use.

The machine, which was purchased at a cost of 34 lakh 50 thousand, is not equipped with lights, so it has been installed in a corner. But even after two years of Dolpa being connected to Central Broadcasting, the municipality has not shown any interest in putting the machine into operation. After the

machine arrived, the municipality also purchased a generator for about ten million for operation. However, even when the generator was purchased, the X-ray machine was not put into operation.

According to Thaneshwar Paneru, head of the health branch of the municipality, 'the machine has been stuck for four years, they tried to get ten technicians from Nepalgunj to fix it, but it didn't work.' As the essential machines that were brought are not operational, the patients who need X-rays are forced to reach the headquarters.

Locals complain that it costs both time and money to go to both for normal X-rays. Stakeholders allege that the machine, which was purchased in the first term, has not been interested in operation even after two years have passed since the second term representative came.

People's representatives of the previous term operated the Tripurakot health post as a city hospital, but after the second term of the people's representative came, they complained that the health post was abandoned. Ward president Ramchandra Kulal said that the non-operation of the

machine has affected the health services of the locals. He said, 'After I was elected, I made a policy to search for the machine. I raised the matter even in the executive committee for the operation of the machine, which had been lying around for years, but there was no hearing.'

He said, 'Now the ward does not have a budget for the operation of this machine, the municipality should be interested.' The municipality published a notice on February 6, 2077 calling for bids for the purchase of

machines. Lamhi Dang took over the Everest Medico firm for 34 lakh fifty thousand.

Bishnudev Budthapa, the representative of Everest Medico said that after receiving the responsibility, they purchased an X-ray machine and delivered it to the health post. He said, 'Only the x-ray machine was installed, the other part of this machine could not be connected due to the lack of lighting.' Dr. Akhand Upadhyay of the district hospital said that even after trying to operate the machine, it was not possible to send a technician from the district hospital.

He said, 'This machine is of an older nature than the current digital X-ray machine, now a quality digital machine can be purchased for 3 million.' From this year, the federal government has also assigned a doctor who studied on a government scholarship to the Tripurakot health post.
