Five people were injured in a jeep accident in Salyan. On Sunday afternoon, five people were injured in an accident on the internal road section connecting Kapurkot to Rolpa at Kapurkot rural municipality-3 in Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 Kale, going from Rolpa to Dang Tulsipur.
According to Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, the injured are 45-year-old Gauri Sunar, 21-year-old Chandrakumari Pun, 4-year-old Salisha Pun, 61-year-old Kaushila Pun and 72-year-old Nokhiram Basnet of Kapurkot-1 Kalapatla. Prani Basnet informed that all the injured were rescued with the help of locals and police and are being treated at the basic hospital operated in Kapurkot and all are out of danger.
He said that the pick-up jeep had an accident on the road due to brake failure. Chief of Basic Hospital Kapurkot Devendra Sen said that two of the injured in the accident have returned home after treatment and three have been referred to Provincial Hospital Tulsipur.
